Kelvin’s twenty-seven years experience in earthwork construction include road and pipeline construction (early 70’s), Moose Creek Dam Project (late 70’s), and various roads, utility, and building site projects in and around the Fairbanks area (80’s and 90’s).

Kelvin was employed by a Fairbanks based contractor for thirteen years. The first five years were spent as an equipment operator; the last eight years as a job superintendent. As superintendent, Kelvin built roads and driveways, prepared commercial and residential building sites, and specialized in underground utilities construction (water & sewer) on major highway projects.

Kelvin is president/treasurer, job superintendent, and estimator for Swaim Enterprises, Inc. His extensive knowledge of construction is applied in jobs undertaken by Swaim, Inc. His largest projects to date with Swaim, Inc. are: (1) Ft. Wainwright, environmental remediation; (2) Building sitework for Federal Express building and new 30,000 sq ft Doyon office building; (3) Paved bike path and multi-plate culvert extension at Chena Lakes Recreation Area; and (4) TCC Scattered Sites, Public Health Service, design/build remote site water/sewer installations.
